History:

Seems like 2004 was a pretty busy year for me, as far as flourishing videos were concerned. Not long after making my last flourish video, I got in contact with Dan Buck to ask him for advice on video making. His reply to my message contained information that I found to be invaluable, so I set out to put all that knowledge to use in a new video I’d be shooting in the fall. Production was pretty straightforward on this video: I first wrote up a list of every flourish I could do at the time, and then filmed each flourish in a different location from a different angle.

This video marked the genesis of a few ‘firsts’ where video-making was concerned: it was the first video I shot outdoors, and the first time I edited using Sony’s Vegas editing software. It was also the first flourish montage I ever posted to the much-loved Cheater’s Cheater, and was the last video to be ranked #1 before the site went down.

Fun fact: the title for this video is taken from a documentary about Blink-182.
