With the second semester of my junior year in college set to start in 3 days, the next few months are looking to be very, very busy over here at the visualmadness headquarters.
In between all the film-making, book-reading, essay-writing, LOST-watching, and playa-hatin‘, the chances of me sitting down and doling out expansive, in-depth descriptions of the new artists and bands I’ve discovered each week is looking less and less likely as February approaches.
Still, that doesn’t mean that the T.W.I.M. series is coming to an end; not at all. What will happen is merely a change in format—instead of having all the files hosted on the site’s server and streaming off of the audio flash player, each week’s recommendations will be consolidated into a downloadable mixtape, complete with cover art pertaining to a topic of interest that week. That way, not only can you take T.W.I.M. with you on the go, I’ll also be able to use the extra time to pretend to look busy around my university professors. Score.
Let me know what you think of the new T.W.I.M. format in the comments below, as well as any thoughts or similar recommendations based on what you’ve heard in this compilation. As always, hope you enjoy the tunes, and I’ll see you all with more music next week!

This is clearly a music post, not a card-related post.
Good picks Kevin, the a cappella stuff was nice, reminded me of the tracks from Adam. Which as well ought to get thrown in on one of these.
Really liked Owen, KBT, Truman Peyote, and Summer Dregs as well. Think you’ll be able to keep a consistent set of 12 good tracks every week?
Really like the Panda Bear-esque vocals in New Wife, New Life. Also reminded me of the Yeasayer instrumentals.
My biggest complaint is the goddam phony album cover.
I like the new format, I just downloaded all the music for later anyway, so this is much easier than downloading them all separately. Also gives me a nice album to easily work out which week is which without making playlists and such as previously.
This is for you Kevin, though since you’ve seen the entire internet, you’ve probably seen it.
