Fellow flourisher and former Cold War enemy Andrei Jikh has just posted up this phenomenal, power-packed passion-punch of pure precision as a submission to Nikon’s Your Day in 140 Seconds or Less contest. It’s beautifully shot, and fantastically choreographed to boot. Plus, the fact that he uses an award-winning* flourish like 2πr at the 1:12 mark goes to show that Andrei is still a dedicated student of a master the masters.
As an official submission Andrei stands to win either $25,000 or $100,000, which you can help out on by sharing the video with as many people as possible. Comments are also appreciated; after all, it only takes about half a minute to register.
All the best to you, Andrei. In fact, you better hope to hell that you win, because royalties for 2πr start at the 5k mark and increase exponentially by the nanosecond.
And on a side note, go me for blogging & tweeting this before TheCuso even got to it. Too bad only 2 people ever visit this site.

New video by Dimitri Arleri from France. While a lot of it could still use refinement in the cleanliness & pacing department, the density of new approaches and concepts in it makes this one of the most refreshing flourishing videos I’ve seen in a long while.
I especially appreciate how he takes the Smooth & Subtle > Fast & Choppy approach to heart. Definitely looking forward to seeing more from him in the future.
“This is one of those books that I will never look at again. I could have wrote the effects (if that is what they are called) in this book in my sleep. Do not buy this!!! Vanishinginc.com is a great site, but really guys??? Why in the world is this waste of paper on your site for sale? Take my word on this one buyers, save your money and get something else!!”
No, not like that. Still, this recent footage of my buddy Huron manages to be pretty entertaining, if not a little reminiscent of a similar video from way back.
By now a lot of you have probably seen Daren’s new jaw-dropping, pant-soiling Anaconda video… though what you probably haven’t seen is the poster that was supposed to go with it.
We decided to keep it out of the WLD ‘09 launch due to it not fitting with the style and theme of everything else, but nonetheless you can still see it below in all its glory.
Right-click and save that ‘ucker, it’ll make a wicked desktop wallpaper.
